Surgical Technologist (Surgical Services)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | On-Site

Key Responsibilities

Provide surgical technologist support within the surgical services department at a 1:1 ratio
Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday and weekend call rotations as required by department needs
Work weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts as directed by departmental scheduling needs
Document and chart patient care activities using Epic
May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as assigned
Commit to working designated holidays as required per contract terms

Required Qualifications

NBSTSA certification required
Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
Valid state license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals accepted at a different rate)
Must be available for on-call: 16 weekday hours every 4 weeks and 24 weekend hours every 4 weeks
Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel contract experience preferred
Familiarity with Epic charting system
Experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting
